Properties: white acicular crystal or yellowish freeze-dried powder. Molecular weight 25,000 (pancreas). Soluble in water, is a broad spectrum proteolytic enzyme characterized by the breakdown of insoluble elastin, which can be extracted from animal pancreases or prepared by microbial fermentation. Extracted and purified from animal pancreas, elastic protease is an endopeptide-chain enzyme, containing 240 amino acid residues, isoelectric point PI9.5, optimal PH8.1-8.8, the enzyme activity can be maintained for several days at 4-6℃ and PH value 5-10, the freeze-dried powder can be preserved for 6-12 months below 5℃, and it is inactivated in case of strong acid. Can catalyze the hydrolysis of elastin peptidase or other peptide bonds formed by neutral amino acids.

Uses: Biochemical research. Microbial elastase, like pancreatic elastase, has a wide range of hydrolytic properties. It can not only degrade elastin, but also decompose casein, gelatin, fibrin, hemoglobin, albumin and other proteins. It is a kind of broad-spectrum intracapeptide digestion enzyme. This enzyme can increase the activity of lipoprotein enzyme, has the effect of lipoprotein A, can prevent the synthesis of cholesterol in the body and promote its conversion to cholic acid
