Properties: White to off-white lustrous crystalline solid, sensitive to light. Those containing crystalline water will efflize in the air, emit light when rubbed, and show blue fluorescence in dilute sulfuric acid. Soluble in methanol, chloroform, ethanol, benzene and dimethyl sulfoxide, slightly soluble in ether and petroleum ether, insoluble in water. 1g dissolves in approximately 2000mL of cold water, 800mL of boiling water, 36mL of ethanol, 56mL of ether, 1.6mL of chloroform, and is almost insoluble in petroleum ether. pH 7.2-9.4(0.5g/L,H2O). Melting point: 168-175℃
