Properties: Light yellow or yellow powder. Readily soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol. It is insoluble in organic solvents such as methanol, chloroform and ethyl acetate, and its aqueous solution has stable antibiotic activity. Stability: It will not degrade when stored at room temperature for two years, and light exposure will not cause a significant reduction in biological titer. A temperature of 120℃ for 4 hours will not cause a decrease in biological titer. It is hygroscopic, but it does not cause a change in biological titer after being dried. Apramycin is a new family of broad-spectrum antibiotic mixtures discovered in 1967. Scientists isolated six components from the fermentation broth of this bacterium and named Component 2 apramycin. Apramycin is an aminocyclic alcohol antibiotic produced by Strepomycos tenebrarius, and its natural state is free alkali.
Purpose: Biochemical research. Interfere with the synthesis of bacterial proteins. Specifically, it interferes with the synthesis of prokaryotic ribose proteins to inhibit harmful bacteria in animals, and is effective against both Gram-positive and some Gram-negative bacteria. It is also effective against some mycoplasma bacteria. The most sensitive ones are Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus, mycoplasma, etc. Its bactericidal ability against Escherichia coli and Salmonella is even stronger than its bacteriostatic ability.
