Properties: White crystalline powder, odorless, or slightly specific odor, decomposition point of 215℃. Easily soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, insoluble in fat oil liquid paraffin. It is hygroscopic, and the β-lactam ring of penicillin can be opened and ineffective when it is encountered with acid, base, oxidant and penicillinase. Crystalline penicillin sodium salt is stable, its aqueous solution is easy to fail at room temperature, can not be boiled disinfection. After filtration and sterilization, penicillin G sodium solution can be stored at 2-8 ℃ for a week, at -20℃ for a longer time, and at 37℃ for only 3 days
