Appearance: White or off white powder, it is a non-specific, subtilisin related serine protease derived from Candida albicans (Tritirachium album.), with high specific activity. EDTA and other chelating agents or SDS and other descaling agents cannot inactivate proteinase K, but instead enhance and stabilize enzyme activity, and are active in a wide pH range (PH4-12.5). During tissue or cell nucleic acid separation, inactivate nucleases (RNA and DNA) and other enzymes involved in the reaction.
Purpose: Biochemical research. Broad spectrum protease is completely inactivated when heated at 95C for 10 minutes. It can replace the centrifuge tube and gun head used for RNA extraction by DEPC, achieve the purpose of inactivating RNase A, and also be used for treating RNase Free water. Fully degrade protein molecules, especially nucleic acids, in tissues or cells to achieve the release and extraction of high-quality nucleic acids as auxiliary reagents. Used for the isolation of plasmids or genomic DNA and RNA, as well as protein and peptide blotting experiments.
