Appearance (the following information is for reference only): Off white or brown powder. Taken from the head of a fly that is extremely sensitive to pesticides. Under certain conditions, organophosphates and amino esters have inhibitory effects on the normal function of cholinesterase, and their inhibition rate is proportional to the concentration of pesticides. Under normal circumstances, enzymes catalyze the hydrolysis of nerve conduction metabolites (acetylcholine), and the hydrolysis products react with colorants to produce yellow substances. The absorbance changes over time are measured using a spectrophotometer to calculate the inhibition rate. The inhibition rate can be used to determine the presence of organophosphates and carbamate pesticides in the product.
