Appearance: White or off white amorphous powder or solid. Soluble in water, insoluble in organic solvents. Dry powder is very stable at 2-8 ℃ and has a shelf life of 3 years; Inactivation of aqueous solution within 8 hours at room temperature. The activity decreases when exposed to heat, dilute acid, alkali, metal, etc. Prothrombin is isolated from animal plasma and activated by thrombin and calcium chloride. It is a proteolytic enzyme that converts soluble fibrinogen in plasma into an insoluble fibrin network structure under the activation of thrombin, causing blood coagulation. Fibrin originally consists of six peptide chains, while thrombin is composed of four peptide chains that cleave a specific peptide bond (Arg Gly) from the N-terminus, releasing two A peptides (19 peptides) and two B peptides (21 peptides). The other two peptide chains, whose N-terminus is composed of tryptophan, remain unchanged. After the cleavage of peptides A and B, the negative charge of protein molecules is reduced, promoting the linear and lateral polymerization of fibrin molecules, thereby forming a network structure of fibrin
